Joana has worked in the areas of change management, organizational development, and innovation with a focus on design thinking. She coordinates Added Insight for Sumbiosis, working with companies to implement this digital negotiation learning tool. She currently also works as a lean management consultant for Noventa Consulting, and is completing her studies at the University of St. Gallen.

She began her career working in several non-profit organizations in a project management capacity, in the areas of human rights, international humanitarian law, and disarmament. Among other areas, she was in charge of deploying professional expertise worldwide to assist investigations into mass atrocities, working closely with governments and intergovernmental organizations such as the UN and the International Criminal Court.

She speaks German, English and French.

Klaus Winkler has several years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, working for different international companies (Vodafone, MobilCom und WorldCom) as an expert for regulatory and public affairs.

Since 2002, he works as a facilitator, process consultant, negotiation consultant, mediator and regulatory expert. He supports his clients, whether individuals, institutions or companies, in designing efficient collaboration processes.

Over the years, he has built profound expertise and know-how in the ICT sector, health care (in particular hospital management), energy markets, and the public sector. He is recognized as an extrajudicial conciliator by the President of the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt.

He speaks German, English, and Swedish fluently.

Nicolas Dutoit has been working as a professional negotiator and conflict manager for over 15 years.

As a business lawyer, Nicolas is involved on a daily basis in the negotiation of business contracts, succession planning and business transfers. He frequently supports the parties involved in alternative dispute resolution efforts. He is a trained principled negotiator and a collaborative law practitioner.

Nicolas is a certified mediator and has led more than 300 mediations regarding commercial or labor disputes, as well as conflicts in the construction industry.

He shares his extensive conflict resolution experience holding keynotes at conferences and by teaching negotiation and conflict management skills at trainings and workshops.

Nicolas' mother tongue is French; in addition, he also speaks English and German.

Marion Alt has been working as a coach, mediator, organizational consultant, supervisor and trainer for over 20 years. Since 1998, she also works as a scientific assistant at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland – in particular at the Institute of Human Resource Management of the School of Business. Finally, Marion remains committed to business administration by supporting the controlling department of a mid-sized industrial company.

Marion dedicates herself to supporting individuals, teams and organizations in the fields of development, change management, negotiation and conflict management.

As a consultant, she is familiar with a wide range of industries and institutions: health care, finance, construction, education, chemicals, public authorities and non-profit organizations.

She speaks German fluently and has a good command of English, French and Italian.

Adrian Hässig has an extensive background and formal education in ICT (Information and Communication Technology). It was in this area where he gained in-depth knowledge about negotiation issues and processes.

Having previously worked for Microsoft and von Roll, he is now a consultant for SMEs, public administrations, and large corporations. He also teaches a CAS course on public procurement at the University of Bern, and conducts training courses on negotiation for the Swiss government.

As a certified coach and specialist on organizational process management, he provides support to individuals and teams on change and organizational development. He also advises his clients on how to prepare, conduct, and follow-up on negotiations. Adrian has extensive experience in the areas of computer science, digitalization, mobility and public transport, education, non-profit organizations, and provision of services. As a qualified expert, he also assists software developers to manage the transition to cloud computing.

He speaks German and English, and has a good command of French.

Catherine Mehrtens has worked as a negotiation consultant, systemic coach and trainer for private and public clients since 2010. She focuses mainly on international change management projects and strategic negotiations – mostly for the bank and insurance sector, healthcare sector and trade companies.

She teaches at the Academy of the German Foreign Policy Office and at the Executive School of the University of St. Gallen. She is a certified facilitator of organizational transformation.

Earlier in her career, Catherine worked at the Paris headquarters of the insurance company AXA, where she helped guide the strategic internationalization of the HR department. On the operational level, she was responsible for negotiating and coordinating the ensuing career paths for AXA executives and expatriates.

Catherine is fluent in German, English, and French, and has a good command of Spanish.

Jérôme Racine was the founding partner of Sumbiosis together with Klaus Winkler.

With his enthusiasm and dedication to the topic of negotiation, he launched numerous projects and initiatives and played a key role in developing them.

Jérôme passed away in the summer of 2023. We miss him very much and are at the same time grateful that we were able to experience him and work with him.
