Sumbiosis participates in the research project "New methods for the democratic urban development"
Together with four Institutes of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (1), Sumbiosis participates in the research project "New methods for the democratic urban development". The project is funded by the Gebert Rüf Foundation (BREF program).
The project goes back to the observation that classical participation processes regarding construction and urban development (e.g.: information meetings, consensus conferences, etc.) reach too few people. Their efficiency is consequently reduced. The goal of the project is therefore to study whether digital tools for collaborative urban planning could increase the quality, efficiency and utility of public participation regarding the decision-making process in the urban development field.
